مأرب، اليمن – في إطار جهودها الإنسانية لمواجهة تداعيات وباء الكوليرا والأسر المتأثرة به، دشّنت جمعية السلام والتنمية (PDA) توزيع 1,318 حقيبة نظافة، و16 خزان مياه ، وأقراص كلور، وذلك بدعم من المنظمة الدولية للهجرة (IOM).
وشهدت فعالية التدشين حضور منسق قطاع المياه والإصحاح، الأستاذ عرفات الصباري، ومدراء مخيمات النزوح في المديرية. ويأتي هذا النشاط كجزء من الجهود المستمرة التي تبذلها الجمعية لتخفيف الأوضاع الإنسانية الصعبة في المناطق المستهدفة، والتي لم تحظَ حتى الآن باستجابة إنسانية كافية.
وأكد منسق المشروع بجمعية السلام والتنمية، الأستاذ عبدالله علي فرج، أن هذا التدخل جاء استجابةً للاحتياجات الملحّة التي كشفت عنها عمليات التقييم الميداني لمخيمات النزوح في المديرية. وأشار إلى أن تنفيذ المشروع تم بالتنسيق مع كتلة المياه والإصحاح البيئي، والمنظمة الدولية للهجرة، والوحدة التنفيذية لإدارة مخيمات النازحين بالمحافظة.
وأضاف فرج أن المشروع استهدف 1,318 أسرة نازحة في 6 مخيمات وتجمعات للمجتمع المضيف، حيث استفادت الأسر من توزيع حقائب النظافة الاستهلاكية، وعبوات مياه سعة 20 لتر، وأدوات التعقيم بالكلور. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، حصلت 16 أسرة نازحة على خزانات مياه بسعة 1,000 لتر لتعزيز الوصول إلى مصادر مياه آمنة.
ويُعد هذا التدخل جزءًا من التزام جمعية السلام والتنمية (PDA) بدعم النازحين في مديرية رغوان بمحافظة مأرب، وتعزيز الجهود الإنسانية لتحسين الظروف المعيشية في ظل التحديات الصحية والبيئية الراهنة.

PDA Launches Distribution of Essential Hygiene Kits and Family Water Tanks in Raghwan District, Marib, with IOM Support
Marib, Yemen – As part of its humanitarian efforts to combat the effects of the cholera outbreak and support affected families, the Peace and Development Association (PDA) has launched the distribution of 1,318 hygiene kits, 16 water tanks, and chlorine tablets, with support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The launch event was attended by Arafat Al-Sabari, the Water and Sanitation Sector Coordinator, as well as the directors of displacement camps in the district. This initiative is part of PDA’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the targeted areas, which have not yet received sufficient humanitarian response.
Abdullah Ali Faraj, the project coordinator at PDA, stated that this intervention was based on urgent needs identified through field assessments in displacement camps within the district. He emphasized that the project was implemented in coordination with the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Cluster, IOM, and the Executive Unit for the Management of IDP Camps in the governorate.
Faraj added that the project targeted 1,318 displaced families across six camps and host community settlements, providing them with hygiene kits, 20-liter water containers, and chlorine-based disinfection tools. Additionally, 16 displaced families received 1,000-liter water tanks to improve access to safe water sources.
This intervention is part of PDA’s commitment to supporting displaced populations in Raghwan District, Marib Governorate, and enhancing humanitarian efforts to improve living conditions amid current health and environmental challenges.
